Our Story

A pioneer in the Singapore logistics sector

CWT was set up in 1970 as a private arm of the Port of Singapore Authority (PSA) to provide warehousing and container trucking services in support of the onset of container terminal operations. One of the earliest logistics and trucking companies in Singapore, we diversified into other logistics and related services including the provision of warehouse management services for the storage and handling of soft and hard commodities, freight forwarding services and engineering services. CWT was listed on the Singapore Exchange in 1993 and we continued to firmly establish our presence in the region.

Expanding logistics footprints

In 2004, C&P Holdings, a privately-owned logistics company acquired shareholding control. Growth strategies leveraging on our sustainable competitive advantage enabled us to focus on providing niche logistics services, paving the platform for strong profit growth. Active steps were also taken to explore new business opportunities, both locally and abroad. Through synergistic acquisitions and joint ventures, we efficiently expanded our logistics footprints and global network throughout the world.

A leader in supply chain logistics

Today, CWT operates from more than 30 countries offering integrated supply chain logistics solutions to worldwide customers. We have also expanded our businesses to include engineering services for the management and maintenance of facilities and vehicles & equipment fleet as well as asset management and brokering services for futures and derivatives trades. Moving forward, we continue to seek new engines of growth and scale greater heights.
